Continuing my tradition of being much faster at posting video than actually racing, here is my latest attempt at AV greatness.
This round, I brought a 5Hz standalone GPS sensor and an old smartphone to act as a datalogger. Using the GPS data, I can create videos that include speed, lap time, position, best lap overall, and best lap so far.
There is a slight issue using GPS data for the start-finish since no one is actually ON the line at the start of the race. I won't go into details, but my compromise is I fudged the GPS starting line to be a little ahead of my start point (so timer starts a hair late) but behind the start finish line. Result is the lap times will be slightly off from official MRA lap times but not by a whole lot.
AmU is done with more races to come. MWEnd will have some PIP with video from another rider (#427) as we swapped places a few times. Man I love technology!

Can the young MASTER show the old GRASSHOPPER the ways of video production? There are some shiny red, white, and blue cans of PBR in it for ya!!!
