Hey everybody just to let everybody know they painted the curbs at PMI blue and white striped. They look really good and gives the eyesomething to pick up in a hurry. I like having them striped instead of just white.

He's right! They are bad a$$, you can see your apex a lot easier.
Great idea, Thanks PMI!
i hope they are not slick, but i guess as far as pueblo is concerned, if you are on any of those inside curbs it doesn't matter if they have grip

So...........Does the paint have any grip? Is it regular paint, or the grippy stuff? There are a couple of outside curbs that get used, especially the outside/exit of T9.
Just curious... 8)

I recall $500 a gallon. But you could be correct. Either way it definitely isn't cheap! 8)

One way to help the grip factor of even the cheapest paint is to mix a couple cups of beach sand into each gallon just before you lay it down. I've done this for deck stairs and such but I bet it would also help on the curbing.

I didn't accually test any of the curbs on friday. I only ran my knee over them and the felt the same as they did before. Sorry I have no more info.

Gecco:
Is there a difference in the location of the beach where you get the sand? For example, would that Italian sand be grippier than, say, Pueblo Reservoir sand? Just wondering so we can maybe give PMI some input next time they paint.

I live 5 miles from the track. I went by there this morning, and drug my ass across the rumble strip turn 9. I ended up with a little bit of a rasberry! Actually I felt the paint and I don't think they used paint with sand in it. You can feel the normal surface irregularaties. And, I think they just painted over whatever Pueblo track dust was on there at the time. So felt kind'a smooth but not slick. Sorry BROWN no passing on the rummmmmble strips for you!! Ha HA Hope this Helps the blue and white colors are awesome!!!!
