    Racing in Indianapolis?

I may be moving to Indianapolis for work this year. Does anyone know if there is a racing club like the MRA out there? Didn't see anything when I googled it, but I find that hard to believe given the city's race culture.

    Thanks!

My GF grew up there and we go back there every year for MotoGP. Her stepdad is a HUGE racing fan, so if anyone knows, it would be him. I'll see if I can find out anything for you.

CCS races at BlackHawk Farms in South Beloit, IL (300 miles away)

WERA races at Nelson Ledges near Garrettsville, OH (300 miles)

The best, though, is Road America near Elkhart Lake, WI (320 miles)

but unfortunately, only the AMA and AHRMA are going there this year.

Nothing better than the MRA, you might just need to take up another sport!

The only other race organization seems to be MCRA, but I don't know how active they are. The bad news: they only have two events and both are at Putnam Park. The good news: MCRA race licenses are $50 (I guess if you look at the cost:race ratio, it isn't that great). It looks like Putnam has about a dozen trackdays as well.

It looks like the O'Reilly Raceway Park has a 2.25 mile road course, but I don't know how often they use it. The O'Reilly Raceway is used more for the drag racing series.

If you want to just do trackdays, you can join the Prairie Hills Motorsport Club. It looks like they're going to have SEVERAL tracks on their compound.
