I have an 05 ZX6RR. I am trying to safety wire the bolts that hold the calipers on. My drill will barely scratch them. Any ideas? The other bolts were a piece of cake.
Thanks!
Joe

You just need a good drill bit, no need to be expensive just new.
BluMol bits seem to work best for me. Home Depot, 2 for about $1.50

I had best luck with DeWalt bits. 2-pack at Home Depot for about $3.50. Get a bunch of them. Then patience and maybe some lube. Those bolts are the hard ones. And they're likely rounded. I'm convinced that's by design to taunt us.

go slow, don't piss off the bit by hauling ass through the material. Use lots a oil.
The train.
Also, starting the hole with a center punch helps a lot. Keeps the point of the bit in place.

It also helps if you have access to a drill press. It makes the work easier, and has a tendency to not break the drill bits.
I have all the bolts drilled. Yes the drill press is great, I just wish I didn't have to take all the bolts off to utilize it!
