The MRA does not have any "MRA Only" track days at HPR. Those are ran by the track.

The Friday before a race weekend is listed on the events calender as "Open Lapping Day - MRA Only". If you click on the event to bring up the description, it says, "Open Lapping Day - MRA licensed racers only". Since this is run by HPR, I think you should contact Glenn Conser, the track manager. If you don't have a race license, are you an associate member?

We're discussing this in the MRA Board forum. It's not up to HPR or Glenn, it's up to the Board.
Basically we reserve the track for MRA LICENSED RACERS ONLY (no street or trackday people) so our racers get a good clean shot at practice before the race weekend. In order to do this we "guarantee" HPR a minimum $$ in revenue from practice - but the event is still run by HPR.
Give us today to discuss it on the Board Forum and I'll post back up.

We've decided that:
IF you have completed an MRA Race School in the last two years
AND
YOU bring a copy of the certificate with you...
then you can participate in the HPR Open Lapping Day on April 30th.

How about for the people that are participating in the "Super street race" and do not have an MRA Race school certificate? It is a MRA event... so how does that work for the Super street racers getting some time on the MRA lapping days?Originally Posted by T Baggins
Once you complete 2 superstreet race classes you will get a certificate and be eligible for a novice race license. Once you have that certificate you are eligible to participate in the MRA practice days.Originally Posted by Islandermyk
We have a small number of SuperStreet riders who DID take the race school in April, they are currently eligible to ride on the MRA practice day.
So, the boundaries are simple. You are eligible to ride if:
1) You currently have a valid MRA race license
or
2) You have taken the MRA race school in the last two years AND have the certificate in-hand to prove it.
If you don't meet one of these criteria, I'm sorry, but you are not eligible to practice with the MRA on Friday.
