2nd Annual Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest at Junkyard Ink Custom Tattoo & Art Gallery


Louisville, CO (www.JunkyardInk.com), October 21, 2009 -- Last year we started our first tradition at Junkyard Ink in a most a propos way – a spooky, scary Halloween contest & party! We encourage all our clients, our artists and any artists from other shops to bring in their creepiest, most detailed and unique carved pumpkin to win prizes and gifts. Come in costume if you would like.

For those that like to be in on the action, we’ll have a pumpkin carving station set up outside (weather permitting) so those that like to create on the spot will have a great place to work. However, if you are more creative at home – just bring your pre-carved or decorated pumpkin in & it will still be entered into the contest. There is no entry fee, but we are accepting charity donations on behalf of the Mount Saint Vincent Home for Children – www.msvhome.org – who helps children with a wide range of emotional & behavioral problems, & their families, through a variety of programs & services.

Our 2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest & Party will be held this year on Friday, October 30th at the shop, 1100 W. Dillon Road, Louisville 80027. All contestants can drop off your pumpkins anytime between 11a-8p the last week of the month. Judging will begin around 5p on Friday & winners will be announced shortly after. You do not have to be present to win. Prizes include gift certificates for tattoo work and our new hats & beanies for the winter season.

There will be a Client Appreciation Party from 6p-9p. It is a great time to meet all our new artists & talk with our current crew. Drinks & snacks will be provided (until they run out) – so show up early if you want to munch.
