Clipon Angles

So while putting the bike back together, I realized that I have never played around with my Renthal clip on angles before. Just pretty much left it stock.

Then I decided to look around the web and take a look at pro riders stances. What I found was that a LOT of fast guys have a really wide stance on the handlebars. I am gonna try it out but I wanted to get some ideas of what you all run? What is the pro/con of a wider stance, vs a narrow stance.

I have found moving them further out gave me more leverage and also positioned me more on the front end in the corners. To each their own I guess, I have seen some really fast guys with them swept back too.

its all about personal preference, I run mine kinda wide like a dirt bike. But I need the space on the bike and it gives me the feeling of lengthening the bike. I also like the leverage it affords me. Play with it, but be sure to mark your old spot with something and then mark the new spots with tape and just run the gamete on positions. Make sure the bars will turn lock to lock without hitting the body work though. My brake and clutch hit the body work at full locks so that gets kinda annoying when tooling into pit lane to enter the track...lol don't ask, :roll: Giver a shot..you will find something that fits you and your riding style. \/

My background was racing MX/SX so having my bars angled further forward just felt more natural, doesnt mean it's better than a stock/swept back position, it's just what worked for me
