Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities-4/30 Supertune&5/1 MadM

The MRA will be at Supertune Motorsports' open house on Saturday April 30th and the Ducati Motorclub Oil Spill at Mad Moto on Sunday May 1st.

We are requesting Novice and Expert volunteers to man the displays these two days. This will involve interaction with event attendees which includes speaking about the MRA, offering our flyer's to potential new racers and spectators, and adding them to our mailing list with our contact forms. There will be an emphasis on promoting our Super Street class to the local street riders.

We will need up to two volunteers on Saturday and up to 4 on Sunday. Please respond to this post if interested.

For those of you that haven't worked an event like this before, you should try it once.

It is actually fun! Almost as good as the general meetings. You get to hang out look at bikes and people go by and park. You get to talk about racing to people. You'll find you start getting amped up just talking about it to those that don't know what to expect. In the down time waiting for people to talk to, you get to shoot the bull with fellow MRA people and again, talk more about racing, bikes, funny stories etc.

Its a pretty easy and fun way to work off your season's novice hours in one shot and help out those in the club that work their butt off and give them some support back.

I don't understand how that would related to volunteering for the MRA but you can take that up with the shop owner. My guess would be no.

Count me in for the May 1, 2011 event. It sounds like a great precursor to HPR on May 2 and the SS race on the 6th.

I can do Sunday, May 1. Do you have the times? I don't think I saw those in the post. I can also bring a freshly painted novice R6, if they want a Japanese bike mucking up the look of their Ducatis.
