    Scooter flywheel puller? Anyone?

Anyone have a scooter flywheel puller (ATV, etc) that I can borrow for an hour or so? I need to pop this off:

    (horizontal 50cc Malagutti/Zuma/etc scoot motor)

Oh, and it is a 20 or so MM right hand (not left hand) thread. NOt sure what the pitch is, but it is at least 1.00 and probably bigger.

    This isn't a Ducati.

This is a purpose-bred Grand Prix roadracer!

(well, it tries pretty hard at least...)

Can't you take the three socket head screws out, get longer ones, and use a general purpose puller like this http://tinyurl.com/25lyn78

1" wide 1/8" thick 3" long piece of steel strap
a half inch bolt and nut about 2" long
drill 1/2" hole in center of metal strap
weld nut(with your fancy tig welder) over that hole
drill 2 holes in corresponding spacing to the 6mmx1.00 bolts
    bolt metal strap to flywheel
run half inch bolt in center nut that welded on strap
    pull flywheel
carry on with whatever madness that is ensuing.

I had another creative idea along those lines yesterday.

I will spare you the details. It didn't work.

If I had a flux capacitor though, it would have! I threw that away during the move...

It's like $10-12 at AutoZone. Throw in a couple more bucks for metric screws and washers to fit your flywheel.

I stopped by the Harbor of Freight on Sunday and got a 3 pronged thinger ma jinger. If it turns out to be too wide, I will throw the little lug under my arm and bring her in to see you and your puller Bartman. Thanks!
