OPEN POSITION - Rider Rep Trophies

With nobody running against Jeff Brown for Trophy Rep - and he being elected to the New Rider Director position - we now have an opening for Rider Rep Trophies position.

The MRA Bylaws allow for us to appoint someone to that position, and so we would like to formally welcome "racing members" who are interested in the position to apply.

Please provide a bio to any rider rep or board member as soon as possible. We plan to interview candidates at the next Board Meeting on December 6th!

The board is pleased to announce the Rider Rep Trophies position was finalized at last night’s meeting. Over the past month nine racing members threw their hat into the ring for this job, with eight of them appearing for an interview in front of the board last night. That had to be the most stressful way to run for a board position in the history of the club.

This was a strong field of candidates; the final decision required a long debate of each presentation. The board wishes to thank every member who stepped up to be considered for the position, all of you did a great job. The 2011 Rider Rep for Trophies is Aaron Fisk #125. Congratulations Aaron!

The 2011 MRA Board of Directors announcement was sent to RRW this morning for release. Thank you to the membership for your votes and support, your 2011 board pledges to improve on the shortfalls and build on the successes of the 2010 season!
