My new 2009 R1

Just picked up my new 2009 R1 from Vickery Motorsports here in Denver. Ive always loved the red seats on the euro models, but it seemed like everyone and their mom has the white/ red 09. To stand out, I did some color swapping. The maroon from the black model never matched anything, including the rim stripes, so I took the brighter red plastics and seats from a white one. All factory paint, and Ive never seen another.









So far Ive got about 30 miles on it, and it sure is different from my 08 R6. The clutch is taking some getting used to. With the stock cans its so quiet, and power is so smooth and consistent, found myself going a little faster than intended

as for mods, Ive got the integrated smoke taillight, ditched the license plate bracket, gp shifted it, and the flush front signals are on order. And Im on the prowl for some pipes, but god, theyre expensive!

FYI: Your bike brought home a checker this weekend. It also rode on the crash cart too. ops:

what was the story on your ride in on the cart...saw you come in at the end of the race....
