MRA Wish List - We could use your help!

    Re: MRA Wish List

    Hi everyone!

I mentioned at last night's general meeting that the MRA has a small (ok, pretty big) list of items that we need to take care of for our safety crew / truck. Some of you may have these items around and may be willing to donate them to the cause. Here is a list of things we need to secure throughout the season to keep our safety equipment up to date.

If you have any of these things and are willing to donate them please contact me, Tim Young or Tony Baker and let us know the best way for us to get them from you.

I've broken down the list below in what I think are like categories, this should make it easier to view.

    Thank you very much

    Scott

    Category: Professional Diesel Mechanic Services

The MRA Truck needs some attention this year. In this category we require a professional mechanic to perform the work, preferably at his / her shop.

    1) We need a DOT Inspection to be performed by a certified diesel mechanic

    2) There are some oil leaks that we would like to repair

    3) Perform brake system inspection and repairs (if necessary)

    4) Repair / replace windshield

    5) We aren't too far off from needing tires for the truck.

Category: Crew bike / Quad items

    1) Tires to fit a Yamaha TTR-225

    2) Brackets manufactured to fit large oil dry / kitty litter bottles to fit on quads and safety crew bikes

    3) 12-15 cans of "fix a flat" or "tire slime" for safety crew quads / bikes

    Category: General Safety Crew Items

    1) 10ea Pro-10TCM-6 fire extinguishers

    2) 25ea high quality white vests with "MRA Corner Marshall" printed on the back in blue letters

    3) 6ea large cans of white spray paint

    4) 4ea large push brooms

    5) Cases of Bottled water (6ea 24 packs needed per weekend)

    6) Cases of Gatorade / powerade or like (12ea 6 packs needed per weekend)

    Category: Communications / Radio equipment

    1) 25ea new earmuff style headsets with TX/RX capability

    2) New batteries for all radios (48 total)

    3) 3ea gun cases (pelican or equivalent) to store radio gear in

    4) Qualified technician to diagnose and repair problem radios (we currently have 10 radios that have some issue that requires professional help)

    5) 6ea earbud style headphones to fit under helmets that have TX/RX capabilities

Category: The super dooper wish list

Some of our equipment is getting old and in need of replacement. Maybe you have something like one of these that you would be willing to donate to us or sell to us for a highly discounted price. If you did we would be eternally grateful (OK, I can't make any promises for your next VeeP, but I would remember the donation for the remainder of my term)

    1) 1 WR 250 dirt bike (or equivalent)

    2) A large quad capable of pulling a trailer

    3) A heavy duty open trailer, preferably with a built in ramp capable of hauling at least 2 motorcycles

    Thank you

I think I might be able to go to walmart and get some slime some water to. Not all of either to fulfill the needs but at least 1 of each.

If there ends up being any grunt work or helping hands someone needs with any of the other stuff I may be able to help.

    You need bottled water?

I got just the thing for you guys. Taste of Philly has our own private label water. If someone could pick it up and take it to the track I'd be willing to donate the 6 cases that you want for each weekend. Let me know. ~ Martin.. 720-320-3692

    Taste of Philly Water

    Tony -

I don't know how to do the Quote thing, but I'm responding to your question.

Either the Highlands Ranch or Lakewood location would work out, or if anyone else has an account with New Age Beverage, I could work out a deal to have them dropped there and I'd pick up the tab. I know there are a few other restaurant/bar owners in the club, though I don't know who they are or what they own. Anyway, just let me know, and I'll get it worked out. Let me know where you want to pick up the waters for this weekend, and I'll be sure that they're ready for you. Good luck!!

I work pretty close to Highlands Ranch, just let me know where to get it from you this week and I can get it to the track Saturday morning. Any chance I could get multiple weekends' worth at once to save on trips required? I have a big truck, so I mean if you want to give all of it at once I can even take that.

If Ralph or Jim cant do it for whatever reason, I live less than a mile from the Highlands Ranch location and I drive by it atleast twice a day, I am more than willing to get it as well.

    Jim, Ralph, Martin-

I'm in Highlands Ranch tonight only and will be 5 minutes from that location. I'm glad to pick up the 6 cases. Can't do much more since I've got a very budget race "rig". I'll have at the track around 7 Saturday.

Let me know if I can do tonight since I'm there anyway. Please email me instead of PM or anything. I don't check to forum much.
