    2010

Hey everyone, I wanted to get a jump on things and start up our seasonal recruiting. I would love to have last years crew back! You all did an amazing job and made me look good, which isn't easy to do.

Start putting your mind toward this season, clothing, personal comfort equipment, etc. Also hit up people you think might want to be part of the crew! Our best tool for recruiting has always been word of mouth and I can't think of better ambassadors then the people who made it happen last year.

Write to me with any questions or concerns you have. oxoxoxo

Timmay, We have an on going list of names with contact info of people that filled out the Stay In Touch forms that indicated that they would be interested in corner working. Do you want that list?

Hey this is Joe Belef, Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while.

I still have people contacting me with regards to joining the crew. Is there anything I should be telling them that is different from previous years??

Mostly I tell them to review the training manual that is on the MRA site, and to keep tabs on this forum for more info.

With regards to the Keep In Touch forms...
In the past, at the beginning of the season, I would send out email (and snail mail ) to each person who contacted the MRA about working, or had worked in the past season or two. -- If you want me to, I can do that for you for this season. Just send me the lists of interested parties and current/former crew.

Unfortunately, I'll be doing more work related travel that will prevent me from working many of the races this season. Someday I'd love to get back out there with you.

Ill be around, but I intend to casually race some novice classes on the FZR. I would love to help (whether on or off payroll) whenever I'm not doing my own thing. Im not sure what you can use me for, water boy, gofer, packing up after races, corner crew, whatever. I just like being there and helping out.

And if I need to drop a weekend or 2 because of finances, Ill work corners.

I have never worked a race, but I plan on running endurance this season, and would love to help out if I can.

I filled out one of those little contact forms at the new rider meeting last month, so I'll keep an eye out for something in the inbox I suppose.

If you wish to corner work I would suggest a simple three step process.

    1) Read the Corner worker section on the main site.
    2) If you have any questions or concerns either post them here, PM me here, or call me at the number listed on the main site.
    3) Show up on race day and contact me.

After damn near 40 years with the MRA you'd think someone would have my home phone number and mailing address for "contact" information.
    Apparently not.

See you guys later into the spring ... novice school days and the following race dates.

    Shane,
Thanks for your continuing participation in our club. I can't even picture a staffed track without you in a bunker. I will see that your info makes it into the database.

    Corner Working

I want to return and work corners this year. Hubby is in Madagascar working and I should be more free. I strangely think it's fun. I'll work as many as I can.

Do you need corner workers for the open practice April 10th and 11th? If you need workers, I am game.
