How does it work, if "so&so #000" finishes 1-10 in the novice GTO final points for 2009, then they cannot race in novice events again, right? Do they then become a white plate?

yep, if you finish top 10 in novice you are bumped to a white plate...

Well then you get to race amateur for several years until you finish top five there and am booted from that class too
