I would try AMB but thats just me
My room mate had to do it.... You have to call amb and then they make you send it to them then if it is broke they will split the cost of a new one with you, so roughly 200...

Yeah that's what I would do too. You sure the batteries charged up? They should still be working for a while longer if it was purchased from the MRA's inventory until at least 2012 or so.
Yep, call AMB-it at (678) 816-4000. If the transponder is one of the original units that was sold off by the MRA, I believe there should be some portion of a prorated warranty still in affect. Whether it can be applied to physical damage, I do not know.
