race take offs wanted

I need some tires for my track bike. Anyone have any take offs that i can buy cheap, preferrably with a more than a few track days left on them. I just did a day a scr, and went through a set of metzlers like they were made of butter--too many heat cycles????(does that affect the durablility-new to the concept of full race tires-yesterday was my first day on a race prepped bike).

I've got two sets of Michelin slicks - $50 for both sets. One set has two practice sessions and two races. The other set has one race and two track days. Wear holes are still very deep.
