From my understanding we need to be a member of AMA to get our MRA licence. Is there a difference between one year membership and one year competition membership? And if so which one to get?

they are both only $39. Is there a differance in them?
The AMA packet said to get the Comp license if you intend to race AMA sanctioned race events... and we talked it over last year and all came to the conclusion the competition license was the right one.
