So what you are saying is that you paid $46.25 for the honor of mowing your own damn lawn each time?
    Brilliant!

It worked to my benefit, actually...

Otherwise I would have had to haul my "other" lawnmower in to town each time (30 miles /15mpg = 2 gals per trip x 4.69 diesel = $9.38 per mow) costing $37.52 just in gas to drive to and from. Not to mention my extremely valuable time (1 hour round trip) of 4 hours at $51.44 per hour... All of which would have been 100% non recoupable.

If I sell it for $150 - I've only lost $35, which is much better than the $240 loss illustrated above.

    Who's brilliant NOW, 'effer??!!??

Or you could have paid a neighbor kid $20 each time and not had to deal with it at all.

Actually I considered that, and when the neighbor kid was out mowing I went down to talk to him about it. When I saw the unbelivable shitty job he was doing on his own lawn (not to mention that he had the wheels all set at different heights - majorly different!) I thought better of it. Especially since the house was still on the market and needed to look perfect. Even so, I would have been out $80.
