What is wrong with yours, Steve? Denny Burke (#17) does AWESOME radiator repair work, get with him if it's something that can be fixed. Do a search for Brighton Radiator. 8)
you have a PM

Steve,
Was this why your bike was overheating all weekend? Glenn #353
Bart seems to think so.
After the refreshing of the engine it made 10extra horses
( this is due to the engine being really old and tired to begin with ops: .
The radiator is original to the bike and is over the hill. With power comes
heat. Bart thinks that the radiator could not handle the extra heat.
Along with PPIR temps = MAD HEAT!!!!! :!:
Yeah, my bike was running pretty hot at PPIR too, and I know my rad fins aren't straight. I need to spend a couple hours with some needle nose pliers and beer, and fix them all. Prolly should get some mesh in front of that too for rock protection.

Dude what was the highest reading you had on your temp gauge???
I also sent you a PM on another topic.
During the race I was sitting between 190-200. The highest I got to before shutdown in the pits was about 219. IIRC, normally when I come off the track I'm at 180 or so. I'm going to straighten the fins and get some rock protection on there, and change out the fluids in there. Some new water wetter certainly won't hurt anything, and the Red Line rep told me it should be replaced yearly anyway since it loses its corrosion protection after that long.

Don't know if I told you already Steve, but my overflow cap exploded when I got into the pits after practice on Monday and gave me some wicked burns on my legs. I changed the oil and also flushed my entire system out and it seemed to help. However, with built motors comes heat. My guage read 252 degrees right after my cap exploded. Ouch, Glenn #353
DAMM  I bet that hurt.
Sounds silly but I never really looked to hard at the radiator but
it does look ruff!!! ops: ops:
