MRA Corner Marshals,

The Sixth Race of the 2005 Season is Next Weekend ! ! !

This event will be Saturday & Sunday.
13-14 Aug 2005

Many thanks to those who braved the heat in La Junta at the last race weekend!!!
It was a record setting heatwave across the entire country.

So far, the forecast for Pueblo calls for a cooler weekend than what you experienced there.

Here's the info for this weekend in Pueblo:

Pueblo Motorsports Park -- Track Length - 2.25 miles

13 Aug (Sat) Open Practice in AM
3 Road Races, 3 Motard Races

14 Aug (Sun) Full Race Schedule:
Practice in AM and 16 Road Races

See the following link for a detailed (Sat/Sun) schedule

--Show time is 7:00am each day (Please be on time)

The Pueblo track always provides an exciting show as the bikes get to run wide open on the 2.25 mile course.

--- We need all of you at Pueblo! ---
Due to the longer length and openness of the track at Pueblo we really need maximum participation at these events. The extra distance between turns makes it critical that all corners be fully staffed.

--You can get hotel reimbursement for Friday and Saturday Night
(More Lodging information is below.)

-- Lunch will be provided.

-- Directions to the track are listed below.

Please reply and let us know whether (or not) you will be able to attend this week's event.

Hope to see all of you at the track!!

Directions to Pueblo Motorsports Park:

From I-25, take US-50 (Exit 101) Go West about 2.7 miles to the intersection with Pueblo Boulevard (Route 45), then take Pueblo Boulevard south about 1/3 mile.

The track entrance is on the west side of the road just past the small 'Motorola' building. You must have a certain amount of faith, since there is nothing visible except the (paved) access road and a steel archway. Stay on the paving and follow the access road around and up and down (continued faith is required) about 1.5 miles to the road course entrance.

-----------------------------------------------Lodging Information:
To make it easier to attend both days, you may wish to stay in Pueblo on Friday and Saturday night. There are a couple of options:

1) You may camp in the pit area at the track for free.

2) If you wish to stay in a hotel/motel, the MRA will reimburse each person $35 for lodging on Friday or Saturday night if you work the following day. If you share a room with a one or two people this should cover your expenses.

Don't wait to make reservations, many of the MRA riders report that the hotels fill up fast.

Listed below are some lodging establishments in the area near the track:
(There are also other nearby motels, that I don't have listed.)

To get some good rates call them direct or use -or- -or-
