    Small generator

    Hello all,

I'm looking for a smaller, quiet generator. It will only be used to power a set of warmers, (Which I need too) so I guess a 1000 watt unit will surfice. Let me know.

    Thanks,

    +1...

go up to at least 1500 watts... most 'good' warmers draw 1100-1200 watts.

I think the lowest set of warmers I can think of draws 800 watts... and the highest 1400

if you want quiet, you can't beat a Honda EU series. The only cheesy thing that Honda does is brand their generators with the peak output, (which is only supposed to be used briefly for getting motors started - e.g. power saws), rather than the more conventional constant output. They are expensive, but very quiet. I have a 2000 EU, which has a constant output of 1600 watts; it was about a grand at Contractors Supply on Mariposa.

get a kipor. faster was going to start carrying them, but i don't know if they are or not. they're made by honda for a chinese company that slaps their stickers on them. same exact generator and package in the 2000 and 3000 but way cheaper. here's a few on amazon. super quiet and enviro friendly 4 strokes. mine worked great all year (i have the 2600 which they don't make anymore). get the 3000 if you ever need to power a second set of warmers.

Thanks for your help fellas, but I just ran into a bit of a money crunch (Need another vehicle-long story) so I'm gonna have to put this off till spring. Guess I'll let slow warm up laps and the tire baker in the sky warm my rubber for track days. Thanks again
