Number Retention Rule 5.3 (C)
Rule as it is currently written
1. A racer must participate in 3 or more race weekends of the MRA season events in order to reserve their number for the next season. If they do not participate in 3 or more weekends, their number is considered open and will be given out on a first come, first served basis the following year. The racer may file a request with the board to have their number retained for the next season.
Reasoning / Thought Process
I am not sure if a rewording is needed, however I am proposing that this rule be temporarily suspended for the 2021 season. Allowing riders who competed in 2019 the opportunity to renew their license with their existing number. Obviously 2020 has been a little strange due to COVID and think it would be a good idea for those riders wishing to renew in 2021 to be able to retain their numbers without filing a request with the Board.
