    Previous Minutes:
    Committee Reports:

    • Report of Officers:

    • President: Jim Wilson
    • Welcome to the May General meeting
    • We had our 1st round this past weekend
    • Weather was perfect
    • First time in 5 years we have had a round 1
    • 149 Entries
    • Results are posted
    • How do you all think the weekend went???
    • Calls sucked we waiting on pregrid way to long.
    • Just so you all know we identified that problem we will be working on that
    • Get the spacing between calls Supposed to go by flags
    • Sitting on grids to long, some issue was staff some was racers not knowing their grid spots
    • Brownie-
    • Novice, Amatuer if they don’t know it they will go to the back
    • We have been very lax about it, we need to stop it.
    • Repeat offenders are the one’s that don’t know & they don’t care we have allowed it before but that WILL NOT happen anymore
    • If you roll up to pre grid & ask what their position is you will start at the back no matter the reason.
    • Pre grids job is to make sure all you all have a rider number & no one leaking anything not to be yalls babysitter you’re supposed to be in the race not them
    • Discipline on lining up on the chalk spots
    • Would like to have some practice on how to grid up properly
    • Sat seemed like everything was red flags.
    • Want to make sure we are not being paranoid but don’t want to compromise safety either
    • We did have a number of red flags but that can happen sometimes
    • One that should have been a red flag was not Bike was in impact zone & was leaking fluid
    • Some of the flags were premature we are aware of that, we are working on that with all of our staff
    • ROR wasn’t done in running order
    • We don’t have a real clear definition of what makes it a completed lap
    • The board needs to discuss it & make clarification
    • The big thing is we wish the walls were moved we want to keep an open relationship with them.
    • Don’t think it would be a good idea to reduce it to 2 tracks
    • We have had a few people that have asked about Hastings
    • We would need at least 160 entries & entry fees paid for a month in advance
    • We have had the years where we asked the members & we based majority vote of 35 people that 50 people that attend every round & lost so much money the club was about to be bankrupt. We have also had to cancel rounds because of entry numbers.
    • Hastings no one really wants to drive home for 6 hours after a full day of racing ot’s exhausting & the extra expense fuel, hotel eating out if they stay at hotel.
    • If we want to go to these other venue we need to make the club bigger we need more members
    • To run Hastings would be about 50K because we would have to pay corner worker travel fees, Utah is even higher.
    • If George would give us a good deal we would be happy to go out

    • Mike Lukachy- Please don’t break into Mike’s trailer again
    • Someone stole Santagio Shirtz wallet as well
    • Concerning that this is happening keep your eyes peeled for suspicious activity

    • Vice-President: Jeremy Alexander
    • Working on contingency
    • Hope to have more options at the next round
    • We are getting several guys from the race school that want to license up
    • If you have kids make sure you know where they are & what they are doing the raceday office is not a daycare center. They all have jobs to do
    • There was an incident where kids were throwing a magnet & it broke one of the windows on the door in the raceday office. Parents have agreed to pay for it
