R.I.P. MRA Racer Mike Hellerstedt

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Motorcycle Roadracing Association announces the loss of one of its longtime members, Mike Hellerstedt, following a battle with cancer. Mike passed in his hospital room on Tuesday, July 19th, surround by his family and loved ones.

In addition to his pursuits as a motorcycle racer, Mike was an avid adventurer who sought to bring his friends along for fun. His passion for adventure and sport was only surpassed by his desire to be a good friend, husband and father as was evidenced by the volume of people that visited him in his final days.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 24th, at 12:00pm at the top of Loveland Pass followed by a celebration of Mike's life at the Elks Lodge located at 2475 W. 26th Ave, Denver, CO 80211. The family encourages everyone to ride your motorcycles to the service and celebration.
