    2015 Rule Changes

    Here are the rule changes for 2015. There will be some administrative changes not listed below. This is only a quick synopsis of what the rule changes will be for 2015. This in no way reflects the actual wording that will be placed in the 2015 rulebook. This is for informational purposes only. This thread was not started to create a debate, but in an effort to keep racers informed. If you want to discuss the reasoning behind the rule changes, please contact me.

    2015 Rule Changes


    1. Meatball flags
    NO CHANGE you are guilty until proven otherwise (ie video footage)

    2. Unrestricted battery in SS
    - NO CHANGE You must run an OEM style battery in supersport

    3. Supercharger/Turbochargers

    -OEM Forced induction you bump up one displacement class.

    4. Shark guard/brake guard

    Will be recommended

    5. Pole sitter can pick any spot on the front row

    You must declare this ahead of time-at pre grid

    6. Lemans start to the 4 hour
    NO CHANGE. Traditional start

    7. Novice red flags
    NO CHANGE

    8. No fork extenders in SS
    NO CHANGE you can run fork extenders in SS

    9. Red Flags
    NO CHANGE

    10. Transponders
    NO CHANGE, if it cant be backed up via manual scoring you are out of luck

    11. Return to old points structure
    NO CHANGE

    15. No appeals panel
    We will retain the appeals panel.
    The board is the ultimately responsible for decision
    You get an opportunity to speak at the appeals board

    16. True Endurance Season
    NO CHANGE there will not be one

    17. Production 600
    NO CHANGE No production 600 class

    18. Slick in Open SS
    Slicks allowed in Open Supersport. May change the class name to Open Superstock


    19. Production Cup
    Classes remain the same
    Rain Tires allowed
    After market rear shock allowed
    300cc singles allowed in the 250 class
    If you are eligible to race the MotoAmerica KTM cup you can race a KTM cup bike in the production 400 class. All other riders must meet the production based specs for the class


    20 Freeze Modern Vintage
    For 2015, the model year must be 2005 or prior. At the end of the 2015 season the age limit will be frozen until the current list of approved motorcycles is 15 years old or older. From that point forward Modern Vintage will be designated as a class for models that are 15 years old or older.

    21 -Eliminating classes
    NO CHANGE
