Round 6 - What you need to know:

MRA Round 6 this Weekend; what you need to know

MRA Round 6 is only a couple days away! Here are some things you need to know about this upcoming weekend at High Plains Raceway:

    • Gates will open Thursday evening at 7pm.
    • On Friday, HPR Will be hosting a Motorcycle Open Lapping Day from 8am-5pm. This is open to all riders, not just MRA licensed racers. Open Lapping Day registration can be found at http://highplainsraceway.com/drive-t...-registration/
    • The MRA will open Friday evening Tech after the track goes cold at approximately 5pm and it will close at 7pm. This is only available for racers that have preregistered and paid. Tech will be located in RV spot #27 which is the eastern most spot along hot pit next to the track exit. 2014 MRA Rulebooks and stickers will be available at Tech. Saturday morning Tech opens at 7am.
    • There are still carport and RV spots available for the weekend. Go here to reserve your spot - http://highplainsraceway.com/track-info/rv-and-carport-rental/
    • The race day office will open at 6:30am on Saturday and Sunday. If you did not preregister and pay for your races by Monday, 8/18, or would like to drop or add classes, you will need to see Jen and Rachael.
    • The race day office will close at 10:15 Saturday morning so that grids can be completed. We ask that if you need assistance after this time to please contact an MRA Board member in the paddock.
    • Race Day Schedules and Contingency forms will be available in the classroom.
    • The MRA will be hosting Strider races for the kids during lunch on Saturday.
    • The Corner Marshals will be working hard for you this weekend and the donation of water and sport drinks is always appreciated. They can be dropped off at the pavilion.
    • MRA T-Shirts are now on clearance at $15 each or two for $25! T-Shirts can be purchases from Tony Baker directly across from the pavilion.
    • Don't forget to charge your transponders!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, ABATE of Colorado will not be doing their annual BBQ for the MRA this weekend at High Plains Raceway. They are in the process of moving their office and realized that they need to replace the roof at the new location, which their members are volunteering to do this weekend. We understand that many of you have planned this as your meal Saturday evening and we wanted to give everyone enough notice to make other arrangements.

We greatly appreciate ABATE's support of our Corner Marshals and sponsorship of the Solo Open Endurance Class and look forward to their continued support of the MRA.
