    Lightweight GP Steering Stablizer?

So, do I need a steering damper/stabilizer for my 450 single? AKA Winters old "B" bike (but we fixed all the loose bolts, the brakes that didn't work and the shock which really wasn't a shock anymore!!!!), aka a Madison clone?

5.2.2. (n) Steering damper is required and must be in good operating condition.

However, for some reason I thought somebody said one was not required (and that is usually good enough right?).

    Thanks

    B

Hey Fos, I think the exception to this rule is only for SuperStreet and production cup motorcycles.

Yeah, that's what I was reading and understanding. However, I have "heard" otherwise and the bike passed tech for 2013. Just trying to confirm before the season so I don't have to do some welding in the pits......

It needs to have a steering damper on it.

I might have an Ohlins Damper that will work for it. You want me to give it to Bartman to see if he can mount it up?
