    Number size

    Hi,

I'm new here, hoping to go racing this year. I have a question about size and placement of number plates.

I see the rulebook says ~8" tall, I'm wonder if these plates would work for a Daytona 675.

    They're only about 5" or 6" tall..

    Thanks

The 8" rule has gotten "soft" over the years 'cause the damn bikes are so tiny now...

Bottom line is if the timing system is down and we're manually scoring - you'd better be dang sure the numbers are legible...

We also allow them on your lower fairing in front of your feet... At least a handful of us have them there too... Mine are there "instead" of on the tail.

The final authority on numbers comes down to the head score keeper Chris Papajohn. She is an awesome lady and easy to work with. I imagine what you have in mind will work.

6" numbers will fit across the front of a 675 and they are very readable....
