engine case covers/sliders

i am a racer with SMRI down in ABQ and would like to come up and race with MRA for the endurance races this year. my question for tech is thus: MRA tech rules require engine case covers/sliders, but i've heard rumor that if no one manufactures covers/sliders for your bike anymore (RC51) that it is not a requirement to pass MRA tech. is this true? or do i need to source out some used ones or make my own?

I don't think that the RC51 requires case covers as it's a twin and the cases sit inside of the profile of the frame.

I'll check tonight at our board meeting for a definitive answer, but I think you're safe

This is how it was explained to me as well and I'm comfortable with that.
