I have 95% of the parts needed to put together a 1994+ Yamaha TZ250. The frame is an ex-AMA 250 frame from an infamous local team (came to me via Tony Baker), and the rest of the parts were sourced over the years. Wheels are white 5 spoke magnesium, bodywork is almost brand new and complete, and the silencers are brand new never used. Cylinders are in great shape, although the crank should probably be rebuilt.

Everything is in boxes and available to see (I think? Right Marty? :)) and I want to sell the whole lot for best offer.

Interesting trades welcome.

I will let it go for like 25% of what I have into it, but $500 is pushing it. :)

Put me together a clapped out non-titled barely running beat to crap 675 and we will talk. :D

OR:

Find a way to keep Marty from ever posing for the camera in a speedo again. Some things can not be unseen!

What 5% is missing?

Subframe, and one small triple clamp spacer (which Tony actually had and Marty may have -- hard to keep track).

Oh, and wheel bearings. The bearings are in there; I would replace them.

I appreciate the offer, but I need $ more than I need another pair of wheels. I have too many as it is and they all need to be sold! :)

What are you looking for dollar-wise?

As many dollars as I can get? :D

(How about $2K or best offer. Even a cheap TZ goes for $3k+ so it is a good deal for everyone.)

So, its entirely taken apart like down to the nuts and bolts? Or is it taken down to the major components?

Can you send me pics of what it looks like?

It is literally in a cardboard boxes and a bare frame.

It is at Marty Hester's shop right now, and I will sort out a time with him to get over there and take inventory and a bunch of photos.

Well, I am VERY interested. I'm not familiar with whom Marty Hester is as I've been out of the local Roadracing scene for many years now.

Can I go there and see it?

Marty is a kind of a fruit and has a taste for Speedo's, but I guess he's alright overall...

I have reached out to him and once I hear back we can go from there!

Pics of the TZ will be forthcoming this weekend for everyone interested!

Lots of new parts (brand new silencers, freshly plated cylinders, brand new Woodcraft clipons, brand new Penske rear shock), and a bunch of spares I forgot I had (two sets of expansion chambers, two sets of heads, extra cylinder, a handful of those $50 spark plugs, spare stock TZ Ohlins rear shock, etc).

I'll get the pics up this weekend if the whole thing isn't bought before then.

(Thanks Marty for putting on some clothes when I picked up the parts...)

Dave, I didn't see a picture of the crank assembly, pistons, con-rods. Is one included?

Can't stay away, huh Art? :) :) :)

Crank & rods is included, although of unknown mileage and should be rebuilt. (sideplay is in spec, but I do not know anything else of its history). I forgot to take a picture of that bag, and will try and do that tonight (if the bike isn't sold by then).

No pistons or top end parts included, but those can and should be purchased new anyways for whichever specific cylinders are chosen to be run first.
