Hey guys... I've been cycling for a couple of years now to stay fit and also work out at Qi Fitness. They have a few locations (LoDo, City Park, Lowry & Highlands). Get more info here: http://www.qidenver.com/ - Bree works out there, so you know it is legit. :)

Qi has recently opened up a new facility called Qi Ryders. This is an outcome driven spin training center that uses "Real Ryder" bikes. These aren't like typical spin bikes as they rotate on an axis and give you more of an actual cycling feel. Interestingly, I've found that while on the bike I use the EXACT same core muscles that I use when racing. It's funny, I find myself looking through imaginary turns during the classes when the instructors have us turning and holding the bikes on their sides. You can check out the website for more info and a video here: http://www.qidenver.com/

The owner Chris and I were talking the other day (I was shamelessly self-promoting myself in an attempt to get a sponsorship for next season 8)) and he offered a free class for anyone from the MRA that is interested. I thought it would be fun to get a few racers in there to check it out. That being said, if you are interested please e-mail me (dmobley@rim.com) with a few dates/times that work for you. I'll collect names and work on sorting out a date/time that works for everyone.

So that's it... If you are interested in a free, fun and intense workout (these chicks will kick your ass - no lie) that will help you cross train for moto racing, let me know. Would also be a fun way to cross promote our sport. I'm sure we could talk a bunch of the employees, trainers and members into coming out to watch us race.

Let me know --

-- David

PS... I just finished a class and had Chris snap a couple of dorky shots. Pretty funny how closely they line up with some pics from PPIR last season. :D

Those classess kick my ass! The moving bikes definitely help build strength in forearms and intrinsic postural muscles that everyone uses for riding. +1 to what Mob said.
