Just got this from Bob Fier at CRA-

My name is Bob Fier, former member of the MRA, motorcycle enthusiast and current supporter of the CRA. Both our organizations have started a Ninja 250 Class and it seems very popular.

I promote the class in two ways:

I have a personal Ninja 250 Race Bike which I have loaned out on sponsorship to a promising first year CRA competitor.
I sponsor the class personally (see attached form).

Conclusion: For CRA's last race weekend of the 2011 season I am trying to make the Ninja 250 Class a special event. Specifically I have done the following: 1) Gerry Signorelli (AMA XR1200 Racer #88 ) is making a guest appearance in the class, 2) First prize cash payout for the Expert Class is doubled to $500 and 3) A free Booth Ticket to the AMA's Flat Track Race Round #18 @ Brainerd's North Central Speedway (7 PM on Saturday Sept 24th) is offered to the first 19 Ninja 250 Racers to email me.

I would like to attract some MRA Ninja 250 Racers to this CRA event? Therefore, I am offering each MRA Ninja 250 Racer making the trip to compete in CRA's Ninja Class $200 towards Transportation Assistance (payable at BIR) and free lodging @ my cabin near the track (optional as one can camp inside the track , space limited to first four CRA Racer Applicants) . Can you help me get the word out in the MRA?

Thank you,

Bob Fier of "Bob Fier Racing"

More details:

The Central Roadracing Association and Bob Fier Racing/Rocky Mountain Kawasaki are looking to make the already exciting Ninja 250 class even more exciting for the September race weekend. Bob Fier Racing and Rocky Mountain Kawasaki sponsor the Ninja 250 spec class in the CRA and payout for the top 3 experts, and top 8 Novice finishers in total weekend points. For the September weekend, Bob Fier Racing has decided to double the top Expert payout to a very generous $500!

The racing in this class has been a thrilling corner to corner battle all the way to the finish, each race with 3 sprints per weekend. Most of the grids are showing about 14 Ninja 250s, and the spec rules are keeping the racing close! The exception to this close racing has been the one rider that keeps breaking out front and dominating the Expert class, and leaving the rest of the grid battling for the entire race. That rider is Christian Schmidt.

Bob Fier Racing would like to double the 1st place payout, in an effort to attract anyone that wants to challenge our current points leader Schmidt for that top spot. So far two very fast riders have decided to take on Schmidt for the top podium spot during the September event. Gerry Signorelli, (AMA #88 ) and Rob Pretts, (CRA #1) will be challenging Schmidt’s class domination. It should also be mentioned that Schmidt is a very fast expert club racer who routinely wins races on just about every bike in every class from 1000s down to Ninja 250s. So far, this is shaping up to be a great battle of some of the fastest club racers around on the mighty Ninja 250s!

If you are a Ninja 250 racer and would like to take on the challenge, come join the CRA and race on the legendary Brainerd International Raceway. The payouts for the Ninja 250 spec class are based on total points for the weekend. The points are earned from 3 sprint races total. The payouts are as follows:
Expert, 1st = $500, 2nd = $125, 3rd = $100 Novice, 1st = $250, 2nd = $125, 3rd = $100, 4th = $80, 5th = $60, 6th= $50, 7th = $40, 8th = $30

The CRA’s Ninja 250 class is additionally sponsored by, Michellin, Bridgestone, Hotbodies, Momentum Photo, EBC, and Zalusky Advanced Riding School. With these great contingency sponsors, there are several opportunities to win back some of the cost of what is already a very fun and affordable racing class! Ninja 250 racers, come join the CRA September 23rd-25th at Brainerd International Raceway for an exciting event!

FWIW, I already told Bob that Schrammy, Cesmat, and Hammer were gonna kick Christian Schmidt's butt... so you guys better not let me down!

I'd go and do it myself, but alas, work commitments will keep me away from the round at Brainerd.

As an added incentive (on top of Bob's already very generous offer) - I WILL PAY the last round Saturday Ninja 250 Class entry fees ($130) for ANY and ALL MRA RACERS who beat Christian Schmidt at their event in MN!

I'd like to see MRA do something similar for our last Round at HPR, so we need two things:

1) Good turnout at PPIR

2) A good reason for people to come out and race with MRA

We'll start working on a plan to lure some 250 guys out to HPR, anyone who has any sponsors or supporters who can toss something into the hat to get a good turnout, please post up!
