WTF are you doing Jim?

selling a bike i can no longer confidently ride or competitently work on. i'm sitting here switching between ice packs and heating pads on my dislocated shoulder because i was too busy trying to please others that I failed to focus on myself and my own safety. i haven't enjoyed racing since 2008......

There is a time that everyone needs to move onto something new, but before you do, might I suggest this:

Mothball the thing instead of selling it. (It can sit right next to mine. Hell, they are almost identical except for the fact yours has better parts and mine was molested by Clarkie :) )

Then, someday when you (and I both) are of better mind, body and spirit, you can dust it off. The blood, sweat, and tears you have put into that bike is worth more than the $ you will get for it.

Of course, just my $.02.

Hurts me to say this but I agree with Davie, sit on it and just step back for a while and get your head and the rest of you strait.

As a protest, I refuse to make you an offer. So there.

+1 for the mothball idea. Take a rest, let the bike rest, get off the grid for a bit and take care of yourself. I was sorry to see your dirty bike Saturday but more sorry to see you step out completely.

Good luck, whichever way you go.
