Hello All,

I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates to the class track records website ( www.mra-racing.info ) this season. I've now gone through and crunched all the numbers for High Plains Raceway up through this past weekend where no less than 9 records were broken. However, I needed to give props to those who would not have been recognized if the records were simply updated to current information.

Records That Came & Went

Prod. 250: # 177 Tracy Schram ran a 2:09.416 on 06/11 to improve his own record.

Thunderbike: # 77 Patrick Lansu improved his own record to 1:53.688 on 06/12

Middleweight SuperBike: # 909 Dalton Dimick also improved his own record to 1:46.925 on 07/31, but his brother...

Current Records Set Previously

Race of the Rockies GTO: # 61 Scott Jensen removed #140 Jason DiSalvo from our records with a 1:45.163 on 07/31.

Formula 40: # 8 Aaron Petrie clocked a 1:53.070 on 06/11 to steal honors away from #77 Patrick Lansu

Now for the records that were broken just this past weekend!

Saturday:

Prod. 250: #177 Tracy Schram bests himself again at 2:08.304

Heavyweight Endurance: #25 Mike Applehans sets the new class record at 1:52.703

Open Endurance: #5 Doug Kahl takes the record from #19 Rob Christman at 1:48.682

Sunday:

Amateur GTU: #969 Nick Lenski makes his first appearance on the books with a 1:52.578

Ladies of the Rockies: #145 Wyeth Jackson again lowers the boom for the rest of the lady racers to 1:56.948

Middleweight Super Bike: #606 Colter Dimick shows no brotherly love and proves faster at 1:46.876

Modern Vintage GTO: #22 Ed Duenez returns to racing going faster all the time. 1:54.908 is the new class record.

Modern Vintage GTU: #395 Aaron Hersh showed his excitement on track with fist pumps at the line and proves it in the books with a 1:55.844.

Thunderbike: #77 Patrick Lansu bests himself by another 0.017 seconds with a 1:53.671 as the new standard.

The website will be updated with this information as soon as I've completed the same treatment for the other tracks Pueblo and Pikes Peak. Thanks again for your patience, and look for more postings as numbers get proofed.

I was gunning hard for the Vintage U track record this weekend and was psyched when I went in to check times and saw that I did a 1:56.0 - then I looked a little further down the time sheet and saw that Hersh did a 155.8.

I owned the record for one stinkin' lap.

Time for me to get back to work!

Congrats Aaron!

Well my friend... I say that 'cuz I don't want to get hit!

The red flag seems to have been doubly cruel to you as your last lap on track was actually your fastest, but isn't counted in the official results because of the red flag. It was a 1:55.714.

Ray's Formula 40 record should not stand since he forfeited his points and position from that race after entering Race of the Rockies.

Question from the bleachers: how can someone who doesn't HAVE any "class" have a class record... I see one name on that last with no class at all 00--00

Sorry, have to ask! And yeah, YOU know who you are!

P.S. Yes, I DO think I'm funny! :D

I did not know this, but corrections pending repost. Maybe I should spend a little more time in the raceday office, or talk to a score keeper every once in a while.
