Saw this in the paper this am, but from MV Agusta:

Our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of our associate Claudio Castiglioni who passed away at the age of 63. He was the founder of Cagiva, a former owner of Ducati, and was the man responsible for reviving MV Agusta. Castiglioni helped create the iconic Ducati 916, and MV Agusta's legendary F4 and Brutale. His contributions to the motorcycling community will be greatly missed.

Very sad indeed. He gave alot to the motorcycle community.
IMO he saved Ducati when he owned it.

He will always be remembered for his good and bad decisions when running
Ducati MV and Cagiva. However his bikes will live forever.

Alot of motorcycle legends have passed this year.... :(
