Came across this on the WERA forum. It doesn't in anyway benefit the MRA, but its still for a good cause and at a 1 in 250 chance of winning it sounds like a good gamble.

Just bought my ticket!

Here's an idea... and I cleared it with the guy to make sure it's not considered "dirty pool"...

Obviously not everyone is going to drop $100 on a raffle, but if each of us donated what they could to the MRA - then the MRA could buy a bunch of tickets and increase our odds of winning the bike.

Then if we won, we could take the bike and sell it and the MRA would keep the proceeds. Currently they're selling for about $20,000 (there's a rebate in place which is why it's under MSRP).

I dunno, just thinking outside the box.

Thoughts?

Anybody else buy a ticket for this? You're all gonna be sooooooo mad when I win and show up with my fancy new RC8... lol

I did, and already made arrangements to get it shipped and cleaned a spot in the garage for it.

Oh yea, well there's NO ROOM in my garage for it... so, um, I'm having an architect come out to my house to.... uh, design a BIGGER garage with factory style service bays for EACH of my bikes.... so nah nah nah! :lol:

I almost popped for the $45 UPS next day air, but then realized that they would be applying it to the ticket, not my bike. :lol:

This could take a while - I just got my raffle ticket and it is only #67; they aren't going to draw until they sell all 250 of them.
