Is there a single location somewhere on the MRA website where we can point potential superstreet riders? Someone on the Aprilia forum was suggesting a track day somewhere and I wanted to let them know about our class.

The references I found were

Jim's nice poster - http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=12295
Jeff's post in the New Racers' Info - http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=12383
Casey's thread in the New Racers' Q&A - http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=10123

If there isn't a single place, I'd like to suggest creating a one-stop link that has all of the info a superstreet rider would need .. something like

http://mra-racing.org/superstreet ???

James- We did create this page - https://www.mra-racing.org/secure/superstreet/ however it is lacking. I do have a full 12 page information packet including the pics that Wyeth got sometime last season. I'd like to try and incorporate that into that page sometime soon.

Yeah, that's just the sign-up page. It points you to the forum, but then you have to know how to hunt around in a few places to find details.

I was looking for something I can post in other forums or email to people that'll have all the info they'd need to get going with our superstreet class. You know, rules, bike prep, schedule (which Saturdays are available, what happens during those days), what to expect in the class & on the track, people contacts, etc.

Make sense? I could outline a suggestion better if it'd help.

Jim(s),

I started this page:
http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewforum.php?f=30

I plan to add to it, good idea about actual dates and daytime schedule throughout the day, as to what to expect.

Is this what you are referring to Brewer?

From someone like myself who went through this last year. I would highly recommend combining all of the information Jeff recently posted in the forums, the registration, and any other pertinent material on the page linked to the large super street re-directory on the main page of the MRA website as soon as possible. This would ease the difficulty a potential super street rider may have navigating the MRA website in search of necessary information. When I came to this website, I had never been on a forum, and or knew what a forum was, and therefore it was difficult for me to piece everything together. The worst part of that was, if I remember correctly the post I had spent most of the evening looking for had pages and pages of comments that didn't instill confidence in me regarding how professional this event was going to be. Obviously the current way of doing things still got me to the track just fine with all the info I needed to be prepared, but it could have been easier. Unfortunately others I have sent to the website fall into a similar consensus, and they could ask me questions where I had to go at it alone. None the less, I still think the MRA is doing an amazing job with program, and I only offer my option with the upmost respect wanting to see this event reach more people like myself that always wanted to race, but didn't know how go about it

That's exactly what I was thinking might happen, thanks for summing it up nicely. The good part is the street bike class has been such a great success that people are spreading it via word of mouth.

Pretty much. I think something like Davey posted at http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=12289 but specific to the street rider class would work. I'll see if I can combine the two and post something as a response here, ok?

JimmyB -- Don't make it a response to this thread. Make it a new topic and then I will just "sticky/announce" it and it will be at the top forever. Once it is done I will update the link from the main page to the new specific topic!

Cool -- I posted what I came up with at
http://forums.mra-racing.org/viewtopic.php?t=12495

Please proofread it for accuracy and completeness and feel free to edit at will. Some things that do need to be fixed are:

o The rulebook links. They point to the 2010 rulebook since I didn't find the link to the 2011 version.
o Raceday schedule - I guessed at the times - Jeffy should make sure those are right.
o Something for Davey - the SuperStreet entry form at https://www.mra-racing.org/secure/superstreet/ has a selection for 8 entries, but we only have 7 SuperStreet events this year. That will be a little confusing to the new guys.

I think that's all. Let me know what you think.
