Now that I have an enclosed trailer, can you guys recommend a cost effective tie down system for two bikes? Side by side is not an option as the trailer will have to carry a couple Harley's when not being used for racing. I need to watch costs as I just bought this trailer and I still need to purchase a generator and other race goodies.

Thanks!

Joe

I use the pit-bull trailer restraint and love it!! Way easier to load vs the brand!

So the best way to Haul any race bike is to use the strapless stand setup,
I do sell them at Faster Motorsports> You can contact Jeff 303 825-0975 for details on how they work..

The stand kits retail for about 200
you also need to purchase bike specific mounting kit witch range from 25-50 dollars.

Keep in mind we do offer a discount to all mra members.

+1 for the strapless stands. Easy to use, very secure and no stress put on front suspension :)

Also +1 for Faster!!

While I like that system, I don't think it will work with the Harley's and their saddle bags. Any other ideas? I'd like to use the same tie down system for both bike types.

I use that system with my sprint and it's bags. As long as they aren't below the axle you are fine.

I don't think that STS makes a fit kit for the Harley, but I'm not sure.

If that isn't an option Joe, look into these:

You can roll the front wheel in and it holds the bike upright while you strap it down.

I too am a big fan of the STS stands, if they work for you it's a no brainer, very very cool system. (as is the pit bull)

Not to short change the previous posts - as thos systems do work great -

Harbor Freight - front wheel grabbing chocks - w coupon - less than 30 bucks - coupons in motorcycle mag

http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-wheel-chock-96349.html

A 2 or 4 pack of ratchet tie downs with the soft wraps - 25 bucks - the bikes wont move - have em at Wally world or Home depot

I've hauled harleys, aprilias, ducatis and vintage racers this way - never a problem, cheap and wont get in the way of hard bags in the rear as the chock grabs and locks the front wheel in

check out condor-lift(website). They sell the condor stands that can also be used as a paddock stand and they have a trailer system for them that hooks into easy track. The condor stands will work with both the track bikes and the harleys. You can buy direct or should be able to get them through most of your local vendors. Try Kory Cowan at Intermountain Racer Supply or Kelly at Trackstar. I know they can get these.

+1 for the harbor freight chocks if money is an issue. They work great and are very inexpensive.

I have the bolt it on system that doesn't requires hold drilled in the floor. I used it for my toy hauler. So it is 108 inches wide. Might be too wide, but I have it for sale if you are intetested
