I tend to do things backwards, so yes NOW after completing my first full year racing with no crashes I am looking at getting a new back and chest protector for next season to replace my somewhat flimsy sixsixone back protector.

I have heard lots of positives about Impact Armor but it is pretty bulky and can only be crashed one time then it needs to be sent back to the factory for a "reset". I noticed the new T-Pro Sub4 back protector is supposed to be the lowest transferred force but it is a little bulky too and not sure how I feel about their chest protector not having a hard shell.

Has anybody used either of these and care to comment? Any other suggestions?

I run the Forcefield T-Pro setup. Once it's on, I don't notice it much. Only dislike is I have the full back protector, and optional chest protector, so it's two pieces to put on each time. Othwerise the stuff is great!

I plan on hitting the HPR track day this weekend, if you come out you're more than welcome to try it out.

The forcefield products offer excellent protection. Both the L2 and the Pro 4 are in stock at our store if you want to check them out. The L2 is super thin, the Pro 4 offers more protection but is is thicker. Both will conform to your back once they are broken in. The chest protector offer's great protection using Forcefield's absorption material. These slip on easy and can be adjusted as well.

Another option is the KNOX line of back protectors and chest protection. We carry the Aegis race protectors in stock. They have the hard plate (6-9 available) with absorption material underneath. These are slightly thicker than the L2 but thinner than the Pro 4. The chest protector offers a little more rib protection.

All of these can be found on www.303cycle.com or feel free to stop down to our shop and try a few on. We will make sure we get you taken care of and the proper fitting protection.
