Didn't see a thread, so I thought I'd start one... What did everyone think of the AMA race @ Barber?

Here is a link to the end of the action (there was much more on top of this)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGVRthzIULE&feature=player_embedded

I'm of the impression that the move wasn't horrible. Agressive, but not horrible. Herrin left the door open on the inside and Eslick tried to motor through it no? Maybe the more experienced guys can set me straight.

Eslick's off track antics weren't quite as cool.

Here is the post-race interview as well. Eslick could have squashed it for sure, but it seems he has no interest in doing so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7fR9VYsdy8

I've heard both good and bad things about both riders. All I know is it was a DAMN fun season to watch on TV!!!

PS... Can someone PLEASE make an animated .gif of Eslick staring Herrin down on the brakes going into turn 4. Classic stuff!

Oh and by the way, before you start talking about how crappy Eslick's attitude was (or Herrin for that matter) on or off the track, at least neither of them pulled "a Yates": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyzFtI_jedo

Doh!

Both are back in DSB next year so this saga is sure to carry forward...

The birth of a new rivalry...

Schwantz vs. Rainey

Rossi vs. Max, Sete, Stoner, Lorenzo

etc.

Its like the City boy getting beat up by the Farm boy.. I've got no problem with it.

I'm not a fan of people purposely hitting eachother, blocking in qualifying, etc.. though. It seems maybe both are a little guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct on and off the track.

And I for one will always root for the farm boy! :D
