So, the 06' Krapasaki ZX-6R is leaking / dripping / weeping water out of the water pump seal / gasket. Temp level doesn't matter, it drips a bit when engine is on and continues throughout temp ranges.

We stripped her down and traced the water to the seal in the water pump. I spoke with Josh Galster at the track since he is a Kawi guy and he said it is a relatively common problem on Kawi's. Has anyone run into this?

I just ordered parts 92055A (RING-O,WATER PUMP COVER) and 92055B (RING-O) from here: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model_years/2929-kawasaki-2006-ninja-zx-6r-ZX636-C6F/assemblies/90644

You guys think this will remedy the situation? Sorry for the dumb question and thanks MUCH in advance for any quick responses.

92055A is all you should need. We run a thin bead of RTV in the groove on both sides of the seal. I just did this to a Ninja 250R and its fine.

Its not super common but can happen to all bikes, almost never has a problem with antifreeze in them but the new oring will fix the problem and do NOT use a sealant of any kind however a light coat of grease will aid in install.
