If you've been out to the track recently you've seen the construction on the new carports that will soon be available. We are very happy to bring yet another new amenity to your facility!

Here are a couple pics from earlier today:

Here's a drawing of the paddock layout with the carports:

There are a total of (16) stalls available. Each stall is 15' wide and 20' deep. There will be no walls or other dividers, though I plan to install lots of eyelets so those that want to
will be able to put up their own tarps. Each stall will have an RV pedestal (50amp on the ends, 30 amp in the middle) and a duplex outlet for hand tools, warmers, etc). Note that
each stall also has reserved parking. The idea is that you'll back in from the north, drop your tailgate and roll your stuff into the carport, plug in your RV and you have Shade,
Power and Reserved Parking for the weekend.

So, here's the deal - I intended to have construction completed in time for this weekend, but of course things never go as planned. About 3/4 of the bays (1-12, on the east end)
will have the floors cured enough for use this weekend. NONE of the bays will have power, so it's basically shade only this weekend.

The parking area north of the carports (where it says #1 parkings, #2 parking, etc) will be off limits for anyone who has not reserved a carport.

Here is the pricing model that will be in effect after they are 100% completed and the power is on:

Note that I will not activate the carport reservations on the website until they are 100% complete.

You can see that the prices for the existing RV spots will drop slightly. The 30A/50A carport price is $50 higher than the 30A/50A pull-through RV spot.

The "weekend" rate is for three days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The "single day" rate is just that, if you intend to be there only one day of the weekend, or for a lapping day, etc.
There is an option to rent the carports for "shade only", meaning you can move in, but I leave the electrical box locked.

This weekend we will be charging the "shade only" rate, obviously, since the power won't be available. If you currently have an RV spot reserved and want to move to a carport, please
let me know ASAP (email me at MRARacer157@yahoo.com). You can reserve a carport this weekend ONLY IF you currently have an RV reservation that you would like to swap.
Any remaining carports will be available on a first come, first served basis starting when the gates open Friday morning.

Also note that the RV pedestal will be about 2' inside the north edge of the carports, so you will need an RV power cord long enough to reach!! (once we get the power turned on)

I have no doubts that they will be 100% complete before the race at the end of August.

See you soon!

Forgot to mention (thanks, Tony!) that if you currently have an RV spot reserved and you decide to swap it for a carport, any overpayment will be credited towards future RV or carport rental.

That's the beauty of the clubs owning the track - there are no outside influences (ie, investors** who would get a larger return on investment if we gross more or spend less) who want the track to amass huge profits by not reinvesting, so there's no motivation to hold back adding infrastructure as soon as we're able.

I will say, however, that this will probably be the last BIG capital investment project we will see for the next couple years. We've tried to cover the basics:

- flushing toilets and real sinks
- a place to gather/eat
- RV power
- fuel
- shade to park/work under
- a place for the kids to play

and this completes that list. Showers are still desirable, obviously, and I am working on a cost effective solution for that, but it's possible that those will have to wait until the "real" timing/scoring/control building is built, which is probably 3-5 years away.

See you all this weekend!

**HPR does not have any investors. We do have lenders, but they get paid the same rate of return regardless of how much money the track makes.

We saw these being worked on at Monday's track day and the carports are the way to go.

This is like Miller, those riders don't need to own a trailer or a canopy or a generator--just pull up in a truck and unload, plug the warmers into the wall. If you got 4 guys to pit together in a carport it's $31/rider for the weekend, that's an easy alternative to buying all the other stuff.
