In less than 3 weeks we will be celebrating many things:
-Our biggest non-riding club event of the summer
-the official Grand Opening of Steve Madison's new shop "Mad-Moto"
-confirmation of Valentino Rossi's move to the factory Ducati MotoGP team for 2011!!

Join fellow members of the Ducati Motor Club and the DEMC on Sunday, July 25th, 2010 as we celebrate our inaugural OIL SPILL event and the Grand Opening of Steve Madison's new and improved MAD-MOTO shop location!!! Mad-Moto now has BRAND NEW location, high visibility, and TONS of space. Join us there on Sunday, July 25th for the biggest event of 2010!

First, a big thanks for all of your support over the years. The Ducati Motor Club was started in 2007 and has been growing ever since. We currently have over 150 active forum members and nearly 100 official Desmo Owners Club members. We (Ducati Motor Club) have just celebrated our 280th weekly meetup event and we look forward to many more in the future.

Our ritual Sunday rides and afternoon race viewing events have been such a large success that we decided to finally offer our members and the public community our first major event of 2010!! This event is a spin-off of a very successful event held in the northeast by a good friend John Slocum (US Desmo- thanks for the guidance John!).

Here is the scoop (flyer below):

Ducati Motor Club "Oil Spill", hosted by Mad-Moto
Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 9am-5pm
4796 S. Broadway, Denver, CO 80113, USA

This is a "do-it-yourself" maintenance and service seminar event. We will be collecting a $10.00 donation from all attendees. Learn how your bike works, and how to perform your own services and safety inspections.

THE DEAL:

The event will take place during the Red Bull Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca races (MotoGP and AMA) and we will be airing live and pre-recorded broadcasts of the races all day from Mad-Motos large flat screen televisions. We encourage all of you to attend, get to know other DMC/DEMC members, enjoy some great roadracing action, and let us help learn more about your motorcycle, show you how to install your your very own parts/accessories, perform basic maintenance on your own machine, change your tires, surface care techniques, perform your own safety inspections, and more! Basically, this event gives you the opportunity to perform your own work on your own bikes with supervision from other more experienced members and technicians. You pay no labor for any work you do yourself, and get a discount on parts!! We will even have a tool checkout available to you so that you do not need to worry about dragging any tools to the event.

Additionally, we are able to offer a 10% discount on ALL OEM and aftermarket parts, accessories, and general maintenance items you may want or need for this event. Mad-Moto should be able to handle most all of your needs, however, we have negotiated the very same 10% discount at both Foothills BMW/Triumph (BMW, Triumph OEM parts) and Northern Colorado Euro Motorcycles (Ducati, BMW, Triumph, Husqvarna OEM parts) for all club members. Just mention the event and they will take care of the rest- they even ship your parts to MadMoto.

Here's how it works:

If you plan to attend this event and perform any work on your machine you must RSVP by July 9th to Steve Madison at Mad-Moto. By asking for an RSVP, we can better guage what individual needs are. Feel free to call Steve directly (303-795-3474) or send him an email (mad-moto@comcast.net). Those attending who plan to perform any service or accessorization to their bikes must also first pre-order and pre-pay for their own parts. This allows us to be sure we have the parts you need in-stock when you arrive. No need to carry your parts with you, just ride down that day and get started- we will have them waiting for you! Most aftermarket parts can be sourced in just a couple days (if Mad-Moto doesn't already have it available), but OEM European parts may take up to 10 days to arrive so be sure to get your orders placed in plenty of time.

Mad-Moto will provide the BIG/Heavy items (tires, oil, cleaning items, etc- available for purchase) so you do not have to transport those items on your bike. Mad-Moto will provide the tire machine, bike lifts, stands, tools, etc...with gratious contributions from other members.

Don't plan on doing any work on your bike that day? Join us anyhow! Mad-Moto's customized Ducati Motorcycle collection is a must-see, and there will be plenty of member modern and vintage bikes to drool over as well...we will even have some of our MRA race bikes on display as well. Don't forget about the all-day roadracing broadcasts on the big screen, massive club giveaways, bike show, a bike wash, and more. Have a beer (feel free to bring your own), chill out, have fun, and meet new members.

The COOLEST PART-
$10 gets you a home-cooked breakfast (provided by Colorado Recycling Services), pizza lunch (provided by the Walnut Room), and all of the non-alcoholic refreshments you can drink. We will have plenty of raffles and giveaways from Ducati Motor Club, Foothills BMW/Triumph, Northern Colorado Euro Motorcycles, Blackberry, Mad-Moto, and more. The Ducati Motor Club and the DEMC (Denver Eurotrash Motorcycle Club) will also have club displays and club information available to those interested in becoming members or learning more about what we are doing .

Have something you may be willing to donate to our raffle? Let us know!! Again, the modest $10 donation supports Mad-Moto's efforts and helps subsidize organizational costs for this event.

This is a great way to celebrate the opening of Mad-Moto's new location, the success of our Denver-based European sportbike riding clubs, and show off your 2010 motorcycle livery! Save the date, invite your friends and family to join you, and come have a blast. Help support our Denver-based European sportbike riding community and spread the word. This event is open to all motorcycles and riders, regardless of brand or model.
