Officer’s reports:
• President: Tony Baker-
• Glad you are all here.
• One of the things was last year we did not have the turnouts at the general meetings. It’s good to see such a good turnout this year.
• Race school- weather was great, good turnout for both the school and the open practice.
• School weekends have not been a money maker in the past. We decided to do open practice in hopes that we would break even. Cost has gone up on everything, Track, insurance, meals, everything
• 2009 was the best school we ever had with 78 students.
• Due to the fact we did open practice but we only lost 4 thousand. That is good compared to what has been lost in the past.
• Lisa will do financials soon
• We are looking good for the rest of the season
• We have done a lot of restructuring
• We have done a lot for this season
• 26-30 grand we need to bring in each weekend.
• We currently have 72 riders registered for round 1
• Money in from those who have registered & Paid is $10,000.00
• We still have another $10,000.00 sitting out there.
• We need to see a consistent of 150 riders per race. We should be able to do that!
• Transponders-
• We decided to do preseason testing with the transponder system.
• AMB transponder- decoder box not working
• We can’t run timing & scoring without the decoder box.
• We have been in contact with SCCA, there are no conflicting events, they have been kind enough to say that we can use their decoder box for our events.
• Thank you to SCCA Thank you Wyeth
• Motorsports is a difficult things thank you to the car guys for helping us.
• Using their equipment is not a long term option.
• Chris dale- The equipment has been sent off to AMB to get looked at.
• If it is fixable it could cost could be about $4000.00.
• The current system has a double loop. AMB no longer makes them so we would have to buy 2 decoder boxes for it to work the way it currently does.
• If we have to replace it we are looking at about $8000.00 the club does not have that kind of money……. Leah Scharett who used to be the MRA VP has put in a call to the AMA to try to work out a deal with them about possibly getting their old system.
• We want to let our members know about this cause questions will come up about where does the money go…. You know about the transponder system now. Can’t say we didn’t tell you & it’s in the meeting minutes.
