Hey all,

My girlfriend is a tad short legged. She just got her first bike and it is too tall for her.

We set the sag, but it is too tall still. Does anybody know of someone who can cut foam out of the seat and sew it back up nice?

Also, any takes on lowering links instead?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Lowering link would be the way to go, but you will likely need to shorten/bend your kick stand to accomodate this new ride height.

What year/model bike?

Tritt,
I'm 5'4 and shaved the seats on both of my bikes. I personally preferred this option instead of going the lowering link route. I don't know of anyone up North, but maybe this list will help you out.

Here is a small list of seat shaving companies that I have spoken to:

1. ABZ Auto Upholstery
303-762-1736
Denny or Willis
Located: Federal and Dartmouth
*These guys were phenomenal. I just used them, and not only were they very good to work with, they did a good job for a reasonable price and were QUICK about it.
I highly recommend.

2. F&H Auto Upholstery
303-424-2971
Greg or Don
Located in Wheatridge
*Super nice guys on the phone. But they were swamped and couldn’t get to my seat for like 3 weeks or something. Probably good to use though.

3. SeatCo
303-936-1588
JB is his name
Located around 11th and Kipling

4. Complete Upholstery
303-782-9454
I-25 and Evans ish
