MRA GENERAL MEETING

Officer’s reports:
 President: Tony Baker- Thank you for coming. For anyone who does not know Tony Baker is the new President
 Tony is doing something different with our meetings he would like to know our new/old members better.
 Nock Scott -Racer 2nd year
 Jennifer Mahoney- Hopefully first year of racing
 Adam Law 421 first year is slow. But that’s ok
 Jim Garrison from Pen here visiting boots but does not race anymore.
 We do this every month so this is nothing new
 Come out and get to know the rest of the racers

 There is not a lot going on so far contracts have not been signed.

 Ambulance done
 If you read Road Racing World There has been stuff going on about Ambulances fees in California. There rates are running $100-140 per hour.
 We have a wonderful group that we deal with
 We have 2 ambulances for the reason is if one is seeing someone we still have one that is available. We do not run if we only have 1 ambulance.
 Insurance has been published
 Looking for insurance other than AMA insurance. We have looked previously but in the past we have had some things that have prevented us for getting a good deal with insurance.

 Other things going on
 We are about to host our 3rd MRA promotion event coming up @ the end of January for the 2010 season. Thank you to all for going out and working/ visiting the events so far.
 Banquet half price or less
 Mailers have been sent out. It is $25 without food & $35 with food.
 2010 Licenses apps being received.
 The MRA is looking for an alternate driver for the MRA truck.
 If you know anyone who would like to do this please have them contact Vinny or Tony.
 It would be nice if you could pass a drug test.
 You have to pass a CDL Physical !

 Shawn Nay from Utah got the whole shot.

 Get them in soon so we can have money in the bank so we can pay for the tracks.

 Early bird special ends March 15th 2010

 Contingency is coming in but we do not have all of them in. So far Honda, Bridgestone, KTM
 KTM will be doing contingency this year

 In the Board meeting Super Street has been APPROVED rules should be out soon. Tell your friends
 Current MRA members are not eligible to ride in this class

As of today we have 5824.85 in the bank.
8 outstanding checks from last season
Please cash your checks otherwise the money will be donated back to the MRA
Bills have come in and need to be paid.
1099 will be going out on Feb 1st
Taxes will be done too.

1300 banquet so far
We have sold 37 tickets so far $1430 in money.

 New Rider Director: Mark Schellinger –
 This last Sat we had the Street class intro. It was successful 40-45 members attended.
 Working on the Curriculum for the Super Street class.
 We will run the class every weekend Except July31-Aug1st
 April Race School- excited to get that done

• For those who did not know we did an event at the Hot Rod show. We added about 50 people to the mailing list. Handed out a lot of 2010 flyers.
• Tony- On the names that we have/are getting we are adding them to our mailing list as well as our E-mail list.
• We have been doing E-mail blasts & we are sending them to everyone in the MRA database. If we have your e-mail you should be getting them if not you need to contact JenJen to update your information!
• End of the month will be doing another MRA promotion event!

• Rulebook: Casey Dragos –If you are running the Twins class look at the rules they are posted online

• Super Street Class
• $100 entry fee
• Hour Class, Practice time.

• RORO

• 600 are eligible to ride in RORO
• 2 Qualifying sessions
• Bart would like people to come up after lunch.

• Rule book
• 2010 Rule book will be posted online soon.
• The rule book will be ONLINE ONLY
• Tony- Would like to have a PDF that has the Advertisements in it.
• Years past program add and rule book add.

• Contingency/Press: Wyeth Jackson- MRA Calendar has been posted online RRW & Cycle News
• Also looking for more vendors where we can place our results.
• SMRI will be having the WOW series again.
• A lot of their girls came up here but most of our girls did not go down there.
• Tony-The ladies that would like to run the class they can but we will not force anyone to go.
• ?How do year end points/ trophies work with the WOW series? It is just bragging rights.
• If we could get someone to sponsor there year end trophies. Possibly if we had an MRA member they would have to come to our banquet.
• There have been series that use a Flag as the Trophy as the season goes on if someone else wins the flag would go to them until the next race and so on….
• SMRI is asking if we want to do it. Yes we would.
Will post something online to see how many ladies would like to participate.
• Scott- 2 of their racers coming here is just a little bump us going there is a big increase. They only have 25-30 on their race weekends.
• Flag is a really cool idea.

• Trophies: Jeff Brown – For those that do not know we have class sponsor they pay for the trophies every weekend. We had 4 classes for 2009 that were not sponsored the MRA had to pay for those.
• Jeff has contacted the sponsors form last year most have said YES but NO checks have been written with the exception of Wyeth Jackson. YAY WYETH!!!
• We need help if anyone knows someone who would like to help us please send them our way.
• Cost of trophies -It runs from 500-1500 but your name is on all the Trophies for the season.
• E-mails that go out could we send it out on that?
• If anyone has a 07 Kit ECU let Brown know!

? How do you qualify for Rookie of the year? They would have to start from the beginning and have the most improvement throughout the season.

Announcements: MRA PROGRAM
• Ricky with Racing publications is here he would like to say a few words.
• Ricky Orlando has been racing forever.
• Mark Nudleman & Ricky Orlando reach out to our riders that would like to thank their sponsors for 2009 of 2010. $99.00 Mark will put the add together…He is great with adds can do some fun/cool stuff.
• Companies are great as well because they can get there name out there. Our members pick these up as well as spectators so you would be able to put you company out there.
• The programs come out before Daytona beginning of April.
• Mark is in charge of everything else.
• Photos, Stories, Anything that you would like to do. We like doing the program and we would like to have our members participate. We like to have something the we can show our spectators.
• Our PR over the years has been weak but hopefully this year with Jim doing his things we can get our name out there.
• Tony-The program does not cost us anything THE PROGRAM IS FREE. They do it for the little bit of money that they get from advertisements. They do it because they love it.
• We have had an outside company do it but it was CRAP.
• This program that Ricky & Mark do are AWESOME and we really like having it.
