I raced a liter bike in '06 and '07 as a novice. Got rid of it. Now I've a KX500 sumo. Can this be raced at the MRA events? If so, which classes? Thanks.

If you hold an expert license that bike works well in the following classes:

LW GP
Colorado Class
LW endurance

If you hold a novice license you COULD race it in

Novice GTU
LW endurance.

The bike is seriously outclassed in novice U as it's mostly 600 cc bikes that race in that class.

You can speak with the new rider director about racing in the expert classes if you are a novice and want to race that specific bike.

Hope to see you on the grid

welcome to colorado class, the home of the bastard bikes of the mra!

you can pretty much run that bike in most any class you want due to the small displacement.

I loved my KX500 as a roadracer!

Your sumo was the original intention of the Colorado Class. Converted dirt bikes into road racers. The rest of us have just been able to screw things up!

Welcome to the club! :D

I really screwed up my bike...My RS 125 had dirty sex with a CRF 450X at some nasty hotel and I ended up with the RSF 450.
