back/chest protectors

Sorry if this has been discussed, but can anybody tell me if there is
a back/chest protector that is not race legal. I'm looking at the Spidi
Defender or Dainese Gilet Wave 2. Thanks for the help.

we don't specify brand or type, but they are "required". Most typically the basic pad built into the leathers does not qualify.

Spend as much as you can afford though... you'll be glad you did.

Here is all that is stated in the rulebook:
6.3.3 Back Protectors
A. Back protectors are required and must be of commercial design and manufacture. No homemade back protectors.


So you should have nothing to worry about with the models you have listed.
