Sophie is free to a fantastic home!!!!

Sophie is the last from a litter of 12 puppies born on April 21, 2009. Mom is a Rottweiler, dad is a Yellow Lab. Both parents are very docile dogs, the kind who are both from families with children that climb all over and pull on their ears.
She loves to jump and play, chase after toys and our three cats, and defluff stuffed animals. She’s active, but very sweet and affectionate. She will shower you with lots and lots of kisses! She walks on a leash without struggle. She knows come here, sit, outside, wait, “in the house” is the code for getting in the kennel when we go to bed at night and when we leave the house, which she knows very well as she is encouraged with treats and lots of positive reinforcement when learning commands. She has also never had an accident in the kennel.
Until she came to us three weeks ago, she was kenneled in a large chain link enclosure outside with two dog houses. Since coming to our home she has been a mostly-indoor-dog with a large backyard to potty and play with our two dogs. The adjustment from outside to inside dog has been fairly trouble-free with very little accidents in the house early on, none lately. She goes outside to potty right after eating and throughout the day and night when we’re home, always with encouragement to let her know she’s doing good by going outside. You can tell when she needs to go out because she’ll start to pace and wander around like she’s looking for something. She’s fed in the morning when we get up for work and again in the evening when we come home. We’ve made sure to bathe her a couple times a week and play with her mouth, feet and ears constantly to make for easier handling and grooming for her future home. We hold her like a baby and rub her belly, too. She will be the perennial lap dog!
