View Full Version : Exhaust cleaning?

Anyone have an idea how I can clean 2stroke exp. chember exhaust inside? It's one piece and I need to get all the old oil and other sh.. out off there.
What should I use that will work?

ive used an oxy/acet torch, but dont make a hot flame and move fast. you'll cook the crud off it and it will stop smoking when its clean (working in small areas)

you can dip them n a hot tank at a radiator shop, have them media blasted, or i use a tool from carlos neves out in california.

you put it in a corded drill and it will beat the junk out. make sure you wear a beefy glove that covers a bit of your forearm (stick welding gloves), if it gets away from you, it will ruin your day

Any of those methods would work... we used to use a straight air die grinder with a cone wire wheel on the end that way the wire rips away the carbon and junk without messin with the metal!!
